No, that wouldn't be odd at all. In fact, there are a lot of Buddhists who were previously Christians.

I disagree that you want to be a Christian. I can see that you would like to think there is something after death. What I don't understand is how you can't have this belief as a non-Christian. Shit, if they're going to create a heaven only Christians can get into, why not create your own? You don't have to be part of any religion to have your own beliefs on the afterlife.

Now we're cooking! I've wanted to do this for a while and have done a bit of writing on the topic. I believe comprising your own set of beliefs or 'religion', if you like, that's based on your own personal morals is the best way to go.
