Yeah it could be a good idea but think of it... People are using Skype for communicating daily it's on their startup(most people) and a lot of people don't.

If AF members will use the IRC constantly to communicate it'd be a good idea, yeah.

So there's a minus and a plus.

INST1NCT hit the nail on the head. In the past we've generally used MSN/Skype because people have it set to run on start-up. With an IRC, people may forget to join, or won't have it running at start-up. This is why we're using Skype currently. In the future I may set up an IRC, provided there is more activity. Right now we'll stick to Skype, so that everybody is contactable.
