A lot of people purchased the PS3 rather than the xbox because multiplayer access was free but now both the xbox one and PlayStation 4 require payment so people might just shift to xbox for it's somewhat higher popularity.

Actually, the PS4 is still in the lead ahead of the xbox one because right now, the ps4 seems like 20x better.
