I think plastic was a good move on their part as I am not interested in carrying a heavy metal brick around.
Actually... yeah. I bet the Tegra 3 or a quad-core Krait vastly outperforms 2005's Xbox 360.
As for the metal part, if it's made out of aluminum, then it wouldn't be heavy at all.
IMO, to make a spec-competitive 2012 gaming handheld, they should:
-Use a capacitive touch screen (c'mon, nintendo, this isn't 2003 anymore)
-At least triple the resolution (my calculator has the same res as my DS)
-Change CPU to at least a dual-core Exynos, ideally quad-core Krait
-Trash the annoying cartridge system (that's right, stop shrinking them; just make them disappear!)
-Make it thinner, and feel like a premium device. If you've used your cash on it, might as well make it look like you did.
-unlockable bootloader optional, but that would earn points with me :]
That would probably make it more expensive, but I'd gladly pay for one of those.
But that's why I want to play the games on the Tab 7.7. It just does everything right, even if it's one year old.
Blehh, I prefer cartridges. Downloading games with my terrible internet is no fun.
