For now, Gen 5's are not going to provide a noticeable benefit. Moving from Gen 3 to Gen 4 is hardly measurable. Maybe for 4K editing? But that's not exactly 'general use'. If anything, Gen 5 NVMe's are having thermal issues that you won't want to deal with.
