Looking at this thread again after this much time has passed I can easily say it's not dying. Or at least, not anytime soon. Some people think it's death is mere months away, not with more active users than the population of America. And those are not all bots, let's face it.

I think the way it's used and it's audience will probably shift. We're also still seeing a general decrease in some social media use following the pandemic (when that's all anybody had to do in a day). There's nothing to indicate anything close to the platform actually dying out.
