I will vote for the 3-5k a month depending on where you live is okay to comfy
5-7k a month is the good amount and hope that you're saving/investing
7-12k of individual income is quite effing good, and def on the okay side of combined income (with kids)
I survived most of my upbringing with a lot less than that, so, still sounds doable.
