While I wasn't particularly sad to see Trump's tweets silenced, I think Musk is absolutely right. I know why they did it, but that doesn't make it right. It was morally wrong. Silencing an unfavorable/uneducated opinion doesn't teach the average joe to use their brains more when they read posts on social media.
Schools, parents/adults should be teaching their kids to understand the difference between sources of information, their reliability and how to come their own conclusions about whether they think that info is valid. Silencing someone, teaches everyone nothing and perpetuates a problem.
If more generations grow up understanding how to dissect the info they are exposed to, perhaps we would see less stupidity from people swallowing nonsense they read on social media? Wishful thinking, I know!
