Stating the obvious, have you already added a custom domain?

If so, you will be able to create a subdomain that will be associated to the custom domain.

Addon domains Is not what you're after.

First you need to add your custom domain, and then the subdomain. Here's my cPanel In the Image below. Click on "Domains" and when you've added It, hit "Subdomains".

First of all thank you for the help, I did as you told me but once created when I type sub.domain.com it does not work...
