I noticed the article says "Store staff and security now tend not to pursue or stop thieves who have taken anything worth less than $1,000". Hang on, are you telling me chasing after someone who has $1k of stuff is worth risking your life? No thank you. I'd rather the store owners consult their insurance rather than me having to consult my medical insurance.

Back to the overarching story - What on earth is wrong with people. Looting for no reason? I guess they haven't had a good "protest" to hide behind recently.
