That's not all that bad. I once had a teacher who was a real asshat. Although the official school policy forbid us from using cell phones in class, they would generally allow us to use our phones during lunch, or when there was nothing to do. However, the gym teacher enforced this policy like a Nazi out of hell. What was ironic, is that it was this skinny little man with a British accent. We'd be eating lunch, I'd be checking my emails on my phone, and he'd come over and say "you know I'm going to have to confiscate that." Clearly he didn't have to confiscate my phone, as none of the other 8-10 staff members nearby seemed to care. Regardless - he decided he'd be the one to take my phone. Next thing you know, my phone would be in the office for the rest of the day. I rarely used my phone because of this and it was rather boring at that school, which is why I'm glad I swapped.

Just be glad they let you listen to music half the time.
