Due to the chip shortage, 2 really important technology businesses in my area have regular breaks. Some of my friends ended up getting paid half of what they usually earn for a few weeks due to this.

Many businesses where I reside have also cut working hours, some of which can only offer a couple of days a week, as opposed to full time employment.

The pandemic has equally affected employers and employees.
