Well I seen something about Apple products now scan everyones hardware and storage for images that could be pornographic in nature, seeking child related content. I guess I have a two faced position in this personally, where on one side, Im like what about our privacy but then, if you are committing immoral acts I dont think you deserve said privacy.

Absolutely, hence they should be selective with whom they target, as opposed to Invading anyone and everyone's privacy - the majority of which are Innocent Individuals.

question is, how is this to be accomplished? How can the Gov's scan, monitor without invading privacy? I can see an AI or software that scans EVERYTHING and EVERYONE .... equally. so that could be fair. and only when conditions are met would a human intervene? They coudl review and then further act upon if the nature of content is in fact a concern?

Im not sure if that is what they are trying to do, but it would be nice if they just came out and said it...

We at apple take privacy seriously, but also, we take the safety and security of our society even more serious, thus we have a monitoring AI that only acts when content of said nature is discovered. THEN a human would be involved to review and notify authorities?

something liek that, to that nature at least. I feel more concerned when a company (may) have good or genuine intention but hide it and act as if nothing is going on, only leaving us all to guess what is their intention. Id rather set my intention and let the public know this, and stand 150% behind it, than hide it in the background. I feel this dishonesty would be the separation factor that only pushes people away from said technology or service. which seemingly would hinder progress finding pedos. for example. idk just seems shady to me. If Apple wants to hunt and convict pedos, fine by me, Im all for it. BUT dont hide it like a coward. just say that, and be proud of it.

but Im just me, not a dev or anything special so maybe theres tons of shit Im missing here, thus ignorant to a bigger perspective
