It's commonly known that CO2 levels increase as time passes and this was the case even before humans arrived. While the change is very apparent, I'm of the opinion we've exaggerated humanity's impact on this. As a result, people are proposing solutions that are unrealistic when it comes to reducing CO2's ppm.
As countries with international trade, we should respect each other's wishes. Penalizing countries that are beyond negligent is the best way forward. Embargoes, tariffs, and economic incentives are the best way to convince other countries to work together. Importing products that are directly responsible for pollution encourages the negligent countries to continue doing as they have.
