It depends who you wish to communicate with. There are many other gateways to get In touch with someone.

Personally, I've never had the need to use any social media platform, and never will.

Absolutely, Inclusive of many other messaging platforms.

And what's wrong with picking up the phone and making a call, or shooting off messages? Or communication via email?  Social media has brainwashed many users Into believing their service Is an essential part of everyday life.

The thing with social media is that it has so many features and gimmicks ingrained which entice you to use it more than other platforms (that's ignoring the algorithms). Email is just that: an email. You don't have a nice profile you can dress up, and games you can play. I can see very clearly why social media is so popular, but getting people to shift away from it... I'm not sure I can see that happening.
