My router is all the way down in the basement making my transmission obviously slower since I live on the top floor of my house.

No doubt, signal strength plays a major role In attaining the maximum speed provided by your ISP.

It'll be Interesting to see what you get when you're next to your router.

I will most likely get 20+ extra download speed. Not a big difference, but won't complain. It works great for what it is.
