This is fucking scary considering they already own everything else on the internet. Now they’re exploring owning land and housing? Some companies should not be allowed to own this much , and Google is doing it so quickly. I really hope it’s just small portions of land and they are not seeking to own everything in the end.

If someone doesn't want to live there, it's only 80 acres at the end of the day. I don't see it being worse than company towns 100 years ago.

I dont know I find it very suspicious for any company to want to buy land like that and have complete control over everything.
