To be perfectly honest, there is a massive push for thousands of companies to shift to renewable energy. Mining coin will be no different. Elon may have another business venture trick up his sleeve. Inb4 a new energy company that serves data centres, big tech companies etc.

Council won't stop China from shitting up the environment. But, it looks like they're banning BTC anyway.

True. I feel like it's a bit futile... Nobody can hold china accountable, so they hold everything else accountable.
