Most people in Afghanistan including U.S troops and the locals feel that they shouldnt be there and that its an invasion, I dont have strong feelings either way I just know that many American lives and locals lives will be saved by pulling out
From what I've read to-date, I don't think it's entirely true that local lives will be saved, due to larger risks and less protection from the Taliban. But I'm sure many feel that the US (and by default, my own nations military) should not have been there in the first place. I also know others feel that the lives lost there, will be in vain when all forces leave. I can see all the arguments for and against to be fair.
Same here I can see both pros and cons, it all depends which group/country you are more concerned about but I cant ever see there being peace in one country when another country is stuck in the middle of it. A bit blunt I know but truths are rarely savoury
I think it's true. I also suspect they may not find peace there in my lifetime, given the nature of the disputes.
