I don't really see the issue if someone finds a way to monetize their downloads, so long as it isn't disruptive to obtaining the file. If a site requires you to look at an ad for 5-10 seconds before the download starts, that's fine by me.

I'm against limiting sections to upgraded members, as many people have earned their upgrades there. There's also people that are active in the section that never bought an upgrade, and might not care to (even with the NSP).

I can actually agree with this. As an example, my computer got infected with a dangerous virus because of a fake link on this site, which both @mothered and @Oni can verify. If it hadnt been for the security of this website, those types of threads wouldnt be stopped ever, and they would be decreasing the security of the forum.

When it comes to your more elitist ideas, I think its good that we're all equal and that knowledge is to be shared, not preserved for a chosen few who have the money to pay.

I don't think there's anything "elitist" about us. Every upgrade and award can be earned, without paying a dime. All sections are easily accessible. There's no requirement to pay money and I appreciate people that do.

I didnt mean you, i meant his idea of making more sessions unaccessible to non upgraded members.
