Alternative to the NoVirusThanks scanner

As some of you may already know, the NoVirusThanks scanner is down. So I'm curious to know if there are any free alternatives to it.
If you know of one or more, please reply to this thread. NoVirusThanks has the option to not distribute the scanned files to AV companies, which seems to be a rare thing in those online AV scanners.

Now it says that the scanner will be available in just a few days, but it's been gone for quite a while, and I could really use a scanner right now.

I though that it collected samples, even when you have checked the "Do not distribute"-checkbox. (Just repeat what others have said. I have no proof)

VirusTotal submits your file to some AV companies, and there's no checkbox to prevent it. I think you might have confused VirusTotal with NoVirusThanks.
