Any recommendations on where to get a cheap but decent laptop? Mainly for internet use, was kind of thinking of a chromebook. Anyone have experience with them?

Chromebooks can seem really attractive on the surface. Great price, Google interface, many size and design options. ... If your answers to these questions match up with Chromebook's features, yes, a Chromebook could very well be worth it. If not, you'll likely want to look elsewhere.

Whilst you've made some very valid points, It does depend on one's overall usability.

For Instance, I've been using the Windows platform since the good old days of the 16-bit Windows 3.1 back In the early 90s to date, and the Chrome OS Is useless pertaining to my day-to-day tasks.

A chrome book is good, but you might stumble across some issues if you want to do anything outside the world of Chrome OS, but then it’s totally upto your use case!
