I like the glow effect and gradient, but it would be cool to allow personal customization. Maybe more options at higher upgrades.

The glow effect does look particularly nice.

Oni often picks up on things I hadn't really even considered a problem, until he implements those fixes and I see how much better it is. The new username glow is certainly one of those things.
