Tutorial How to Get Free Domain Names!!

If you're a student and you have a .edu email, link it to a Github account and sign up for the Github education pack here: https://education.github.com/pack

If you're not a student, find old paperwork or your old student ID or old school email address and sign up with that.

When asked what you're using it for, just say "collaboration with classmates" or something like that.

Once you're approved (they always approve me) you'll have access to free domain names, SSL certificates, learning resources, cloud services, web hosting, DigitalOcean, and more.

Not quite. GitHub has partnered up with NameCheap, Get.tech and Name.com to give out free domains for the first year. They're technically three separate offers.

- NameCheap gives a free .me domain
- Get.tech gives a free .tech domain: https://get.tech/github-student-developer-pack
- Name.com gives you a free domain from a set of TLDs (listed below): https://www.name.com/partner/github-students
