Hey,
So i thought i'll show you . How to reset Jetbrains products trial.
Jetbrains offers a lot of Integrated development environments (IDE) for programming
Process is fairly simple if you are have experience with terminal.
NB! files location/paths are probably different depending on platform you are using. In this guide i'll show you how to reset on OS X platform.
1) Go to terminal and modify/delete files that are made when using trial.
- Delete 3 lines of values in options.xml (located in /Users/{yourUsername}/Library/Preferences/PhpStorm2019.2/options.xml)
in line 21-23, delete following lines.
<property name="someName" value="someValue" />
<property name="someName" value="someValue" />
<property name="someName" value="someValue" />
- Delete "eval" folder (/Users/{yourUsername}/Library/Preferences/PhpStorm2019.2/eval)
rm -rf eval/
- Delete .plist files ((/Users/{yourUsername}/Library/Preferences)
rm /Users/{youUsername}/Library/Preferences/jetbrains.phpstorm.*.plist
rm /Users/{yourUsername}/Library/Preferences/com.jetbrains.PhpStorm.plist
2) Now restart following service and you can open any Jetbrains product to reset trial again.
sudo killall cfprefsd
Now if you want to automate your process you can write shell script that will do all modifying and deleting for you and run script with crontab after 29days is passed.
Hope you find this guide useful.
