YouTube no longer allows 'instructional hacking and phishing' videos #1
Quote:Yesterday, YouTube updated its list of what it considers “harmful or dangerous content.” One notable addition is of “instructional hacking and phishing” videos, with the Google company reportedly already pulling existing content and issuing strikes to creators.

On July 2nd, YouTube Help added “more examples of content that violates” its policy regarding “harmful or dangerous content.” The list includes “Extremely dangerous challenges,” “Violent events,” and “Eating disorders.”

The last item is now “Instructional hacking and phishing,” which the video site identifies as “showing users how to bypass secure computer systems or steal user credentials and personal data.” The support page does note that “there are no policy changes.”

Well that's sort of a problem. There were a lot of videos on YouTube that could fall under that category. So that means this type of knowledge would be harder to come by. YouTube started to become a complete mess back in 2016, and it's still raging on. And I don't think it's gonna end any time soon.

What particular event are you referring to for '2016'? Is that when the 'demonetisation' era began? I vaguely recall the summer of 2016 being one where YT'ers I watched started coming together to demand YT policy changes.

Yeah that's basically when everything started going to hell. YouTube wanted to beef up their restrictions so another problem like it wouldn't occur. But it was their fault, they didn't have a good enough system to detect the pedophile content on the site. YouTube eventually only had money on their mind and not the creators. And when they did try making a change to "help creators", it flopped.

Ways to benefit from this and loose from this.

This was Inevitable.

It will be a somewhat arduous task "accurately" Identifying (both by tittle and particularly embedded content), what Is/Is not classed as per their restricted policies.

Well I heard that through a youtuber called "LiveOverflow", a fellow german youtuber. He probably explained it the best way anyone could. Here is a link about that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIdZ2oPyB1Y
The important part starts at around 5:50 ~

In general I feel like it's a step in the right direction to ban weird guides to set up RATs etc but the more informative videos seem to be still online in terms of theories n' stuff
