Update The Forum Goals #1
I noticed a while ago that the forum goals, which if you don't know are to the far right of the main page, seem to be reached effortlessly. Posts, Threads, and New Users are all reached by about noon every day. If you could maybe change these goals to something more challenging like 30 threads a day, 215 posts and maybe something like 40 new users. I think this would motivate more posting and threads, and these goals have been the same since I can remember.

Oni changes the values according to the board's activity, but It's based on consistency over x-amount of fulfillment.

For Instance, today's posts have not been fulfilled (and doesn't appear as though It will), and It's well after midday.

Mothered is right. We do have flurries, but the goals depend on consistency over time. Threads and New users goals are met more easily than posts, on average. However, the goals are usually set in increments like 150 | 15 | 15 or 250 | 25 | 25.

Oh, I never noticed them change at all. And the only times I glance over to see them, they're all completed.

For many weeks now they've been the same. We've had some days here and there when we haven't met them, so they've been left at 150 for now.

I remember there was another thread about this, but I found this one. For 2020, I hope they're increased. Our thread count is always met and I think 200 daily posts are feasible.

The stories and information posted here are artistic works of fiction and falsehood. Only a fool would take anything posted here as fact.

Generally with our forum, I figured this went without saying. However, recent discussion has led me to believe otherwise. People are encouraged to read and follow our rules, especially those regarding illegal content. You have been warned - @Oni

RE: Update The Forum Goals #7
There's been a significant fluctuation over the last week or so, ranging from < 100 to > 200 posts per day.

A set figure Is based on consistency over a certain period of time. It's premature at this stage to suggest anything definitive.

RE: Update The Forum Goals #8
I typically set the goals to a reasonable amount, so that they're achievable even on a slow day. As others said, the numbers do fluctuate, so I'd be hesitant to double our current goals.

Over time these numbers change, they can be lifted to a higher amount but that only usually last for a few days.
