Everyone`s wants to be some sort of haker, but... should understand some things.
1. Why you really want it?
-> because it`s fun?
-> because you are just curious for other ppl`s info?
-> because you wanna make "black money"?
-> because you like to see flaws in everything (even real life) and would exploit them to the maximum?
etc... this list can go pretty long.... Main thing is to answer yourself why do you really want it, or it`s just another cool thing you think can do to be "famous" in some sort.
2. Are you able to learn quick and processing a lot of information fast?
3. Are you quitter or you don`t stop before you dig deeper than everyone put their boundaries?
If you answer 1st question and it`s not just another cool stuff or something like that go to 2nd. If answer is positive go to 3rd. And then if you are pretty sure you are ready to proceed then....:
1st maybe its easy to start with Networking. Understanding not just basics but exploring and exploiting everything you can.
2nd Start exploring most common operating systems --> Windows and Linux. Want to go deep? For example try to custom build something

3rd At this level you should be pretty sure you want to be more like the guy that make tools or use them. What part of hacking cycle wanna be or what is interesting and what isn`t.
At this point you should understand how things work! As well as their flaws and exploitable parts (everything is exploitable, just isnt found yet!).
Then:
if you like to code then you should know already what you need and "how to do" is just matter of time .
if you more like person of action then probably you will find yourself in early stage of hacking cycle with reconnaissance, information gathering (here your code skills can help as well)
Also it`s good idea to find others that share the same interest in the hacking area (must be at close level of expertise as you) and form some sort of group that can help you and other members to evolve faster.
Might also consider look up Social engineering as well. But my opinion is that ppls who can code (98% of cases), arent good at reading other ppls. Still might be interesting for you and also you might be one of those 2% that are using ppls minds for their hacks

So far so good.
Need more in deep info or you are just ready to quit?
P.S. There is no basic hacking guide that can be good learning curve for you. Decide what you want and then go and do it till last breath
