First car accident 01-20-2019, 01:13 PM
#1
I'm feeling a little better, but yesterday I got into my first car accident. I wish I could say the snow storm is to blame but I should have been more careful. My car slid after a turn and hit another one. Thankfully everyone was okay (other driver's passenger tried to say his ankle and leg were hurt...minor hit was not even on his side, paramedics called him out on his bs though so that was one positive thing I think) and it was after I got off the highway just a few minutes from my new home. To make matters worse than they were, I got hit with a careless driving ticket of $490 and the other driver blatantly tried to make it seem intentional, to make it a dangerous driving ticket which it wasn't. I just got my new car and I'm just gonna purposely slightly ram it into someone I don't know for no reason at all ? Ugh the nerve. Anyway. Just a little rant. Will try to not overthink it. Insurance company should call tomorrow for a claim and I'll also bring this ticket to the courthouse. R I P low rates :/

The most Important part Is, nobody was hurt.
You can't change what's happened, so brush It aside and allow your Insurer to handle It from this point onward.

Mechanic returned car and I saw a hole on the back. Idk what to do or how to approach this. I don't want to blatantly accuse him

My scariest experiences with driving generally involve poor lighting or water (whether solid/liquid). Hopefully you're alright and able to cover things financially.

Happens to most of us. Lucky for you it wasn't too bad.
I don't know what it is with people these days that try to get others in more trouble with accidents. Humanity is failing...

Thank god everyone is alright. I'm sorry your first accident was with some class A assholes. I hope everything smooths over with your insurance.
I was also recently in a small accident myself (as a passenger) and the driver in my car was at fault. Was very lucky the audi driver we hit was a very nice guy. Not enough can be said for people who can keep their cool when things go wrong.

Once i saw a car hit the road divider from the opposite lane, and it turned upside down and landed to the left of me. Then i got a burger a strawberry milkshake and went home.
