Nvidia Driver Issue #1
My laptop has a 1050ti and Nvidia Geforce experience tries to install the driver but I get this error "Installation not compatible with this version of Windows". I am on Windows 10, latest update. I tried to install it manually with an exe version from their website, third-party installers, all the same errors. Any helpful advice? I am on Geforce 387.x or something like that. Mega out of date lol.

Is the driver from the manufacturer's website, the correct architecture and suited to "both" your Windows edition & version?

Try Installing via "Device Manager > Update Driver Software > Browse my computer for driver software", then navigate to the driver directory (where you've saved the files). Make sure they're not archived- extract all files to a folder. Windows will automatically scan the files and If all goes well, Install thereafter.

I will try that tomorrow. Thanks mothered.

You're welcome.

In my experience, I've had the Installation of drivers fail by way of executing the file however upon using the above method, It did In fact work. I'm not suggesting It's conclusively the case here, but It's certainly worth trying.

I've noticed the more obscure a device is the stranger it's drivers are despite it's well-known hardware. A little off topic but the GPD Win for example is a science project. Quite literally. I own the first edition and honestly it warms my heart that devices like that are picking up friction. Portability is the future.

I couldn't agree more with this comment:
Quote:Portability is the future.

In terms of obscure devices, I've had major Issues locating suitable/compatible drivers. They can be very problematic Indeed.
