Yes, I watch the making of Sinisterly on YouTube- from It's Infancy to date.

On a serious note, leisure In not part of my equation. Seldom I have the availability of free time.

dayum... I'm curious, what languages do you know? I should actually make a thread and the reason why... o.O

I deal with a lot of back-end/server-side manipulation, so being proficient In PHP and particularly SQL Is Imperative.

I also use CSS and JavaScript, but that's not so demanding In my line of work.

So the minimum should be 2 hours a day, i know it depends but i would like to start with 2 hours a day and see how things go .

Everyone should learn how to code, it teaches you how to think.

You don't have to be a Genius to know how to code you just need to be determined.

The computer is incredibly fast, accurate, and stupid; man is unbelievably slow, inaccurate, and brilliant; together they are powerful beyond imagination.

Agree.

And In my views, It should be performed each and everyday, even If It's only 30 minutes or so. It's easy to lose touch and forget elements of a given language.

Yep it happens a lot to me, that's why i think i need to find time to at least code or read some docs for 2 hours .

Same here, at times I draw mental blanks and It gets frustrating when something so simplistic cannot be recalled.

I think exhaustion Is also a contributing factor.

Do you guys think it's good to code even when you're not in the mood ?

Personally, I don't. I think that developing an application should be like art, you shouldn't really force it. But that might just be me because most of my programming is focused on researching and then creating a proof-of-concept to either demonstrate an idea or my understanding of what I was researching. This means that the things I make need to have a well-thought out and (ideally) simple solution which, to me, is a form of art.

Hella nope. That would kill your motivation to code any further.

It depends on the Individual and his/her competency when the mood Is not at It's usual/optimal state.

As with all computing tasks, coding should be something you want to do, rather than have to do.

I agree with what @mothered said, but it's kind of weird in my case, i like to code but most of the time i find my self doing something else.
That's why i think if i force myself to code for few days i might be in the mood everyday to code.
Well when i start coding i'm happy with it but what's hard is to start coding.
