RE: What are your favourite drugs #41
When I was a teenager not that long ago, I had done marijuana <10 times. Never really enjoyed it enough to become a frequent user.

Nowdays, I am a solid caffeine addict. Iced Cappuccinos and Coffee.

I once was a huge cappuccino fan but since my friend Introduced me to cafe latte (around 10 years ago), It's become my daily caffeine hit.

Truth be told, I've never tried latte prior to that. I'm very careful with what I eat/drink- absolutely no take out nor any junk food of any type, not even one piece of candy. Coffee Is limited to 1-2 cups a day, and It's 97% fat-free.

That's Interesting.

I'm not doubting your opinion or (If any) experience but just as a matter of Interest, If a cocktail of drugs In high doses where taken In one hit (Inclusive of prescription drugs such as 20mg of Alprazolam/Xanax, 300mg of Oxycontin, 180mg of codeine), would that trigger cardiac failure?

the benzodiazepine (xanax) would potentiate the narcotics.

codeine is extremely weak (1/30th strength relative to morphine by weight)
oxycodone is 2-4x stronger than morphine by weight, but oxycodone doesn't have a real effect on the body.
when oxycodone is metabolized, a small amount of it becomes oxymorphone, which is a full agonist of the mu opioid receptor, when this receptor is triggered it starts to block the signal from the brain to the lungs. 300mg oxycodone would be metabolized into ~50mg of oxymorphone, a lethal dose by itself for the vast majority of people. the benzos in that cocktail would make that 50mg act like 400mg, you'd be dead less than 30 minutes after swallowing the pills. If you snorted or IVd them, you'd be dead in 10 and 1 minute respectively.

Very well explained, particularly the breakdown and comparison with other drugs.

The dosage I'm already aware of, but not It's potential effects when abusing It's clinical prescription.
Appreciate It, thanks.

I don't really consider it a drug, same as most of you but Weed is great of course when it doesn't make me paranoid. Spent the past few months fucking around with Amphetamine which in hindsight was nasty but it's a decent productivity drug. I treated it as a party drug which was a dumb idea and usually just made for some really boring nights with my group of friends. MDMA is great fun but I don't do it very often, would much rather have spent the past few months I spent on amp doing MDMA instead. Only drugs I've been on so far as far as street drugs go, I plan on trying both LSD and Shrooms (Shrooms first to get a taste of hallucinogens) and I'm only gonna try LSD when I'm a bit older and out on my own. Gonna have a trip sitter due to fear of a bad trip and a bad ego death. Been offered Coke a # of times though so I'm probably bound to try it eventually, though reading the effects I don't see the appeal of it.

And of course the obvious, Caffeine is great when I'm getting shit done, in my mind it's basically just a toned down amp that is easily accessible which is great. Nicotine also has a similar effect but not nearly as effective. Fuck Alcohol though, when you really think about it, it's far more dangerous and the after effects are worse than anything else I've listed so far, though every time I do amps the come down is really shitty and I just get majorly depressed for an hour or 2 depending on how much I did. Also fuck ever trying Xanax or Lean, the only reason people do those drugs imho is because rappers glorify it so every high school kid who wants to be cool does it for the Snapchat stories.

Not the most knowledgeable person in this thread, but if anyone has questions about anything I've tried I'm always happy to share my little knowledge with anyone curious. Usually lurking at least once a day, PM me or quote me and I'll see it at some point.

I've had a friend (many years ago) who abused Xanax to such an extreme, that he was admitted to rehab. By memory, I believe he was taking 30mg+ a day.

As with Oxycontin, Xanax/Alprazolam Is government regulated In my locality which means all practitioners need to forward a request prior to prescribing the drug. A "script owing" Is no longer an option.

Where I live nobody really does it, but if you travel out of my immediate area it's fairly popular with high school students who aren't afraid of drugs. I have no clue how you'd go about procuring it here, but I'm sure if I was tempted to try it I could get it. Canada/My province must treat Xanax differently than most considering the type of people who use it. Generally they wouldn't know dealers for anything more than Weed so it must be fairly easy to nab.

To be honest, not that I'd take It but If I were given a choice of drug, It'll be weed.

I've seen the ramifications (through friends) of abusing prescribed meds, and It Isn't pleasant when they've lost their supplier and trying to stop the addiction abruptly.

Weed is very basic. The one danger in my eyes is when you start getting really into Weed, you're usually eventually bound to try things like Poppers which heavily damage your lungs, some don't but anyone I know who gets really into Weed has tried things like that. There's also the danger of becoming extremely lazy and just doing nothing with your life.

And prescribed meds are really risky business and it usually doesn't turn out well for anyone who tries them unless they have extremely strong innate willpower. Not for me, but to each their own.

This did In fact happen to an ex-friend of mine around 20 years ago.

What started off as weed, turned Into a cocktail of drugs that almost killed him. I haven't seen him since, so for all I know, he may well be dead.

Good for you, glad to hear you've gotten off that. I was testing the waters with a lot of drugs but I got away from most of them too. Back to Weed pretty much exclusively, drinking every couple of months because I can't stand hangovers.
