I was actually very surprised when TPB got the domain back and now utilizing It as their main gateway.

UPDATE: The .se domain has now been successfully registered by TPB, which Is supposed to redirect to the .org domain. However as at the time of this post, the connection Is timing out.

It wont die. They'll just keep getting new TLDs.

Agree,

The number of domain extensions Is over one thousand and given they (TPB) already have a heap on reserve, they won't run out anytime soon.

I just hope that TPB doesn't go down entirely, or if it does, they either get some new domains/proxies, or just rename the site, lol. Around the beginning of this year I could never remember that it was called The Pirate Bay, I can't remember what I would google, but it wasn't the pirate bay, I think I was just leaving "bay" off.

Yeah that's quite odd. You'd think they would use something more 'underground' than Cloudflare, if anything make there own DDoS protection.

I'm curious what makes these people think they can actually shut down these guys. Or is like a checks and balances thing hoping that constant pressure will at least limit how often these types of sites pop up.

To my knowledge, they've been using It for quite a few years.

I'm surprised CF dealt with TPB to begin with.

This is pretty useless to be honest. Like said above, they have such a big pool of domain names it'll probably be impossible to block all domains. Same goes for Kickass and Eztv... They just keep buying domain names so they can keep switching them.

Agree.

I think they have bigger Issues on their hands with the ongoing pursuit of litigation from copyright holders. A domain name Is the least of their concern.
