More thread prefixes #1
First off, how come diamond no get a prefix :/

But really though, We only have Leak and Tutorial available to most members, which is really a shame. I think we should also have the following:

Download (referring to a binary program)
Source (like source code)

these two would help us out because 1. it draws attention to the thread, potentially helping activity and 2. helps us know what's what beforehand. I don't even bother with software threads without source code, I'm sure many members feel the same way.

RE: More thread prefixes #2
I think this would end up being a good idea. We do have a very limited prefix set, and I think by adding more it will help draw more people to certain threads and prevent people from wasting time on other threads.
You can find me on Keybase
"Reach the state of ubiquity, and you will be in control"
Student, Technician, Designer, and more.

My only thoughts on this are: Not a bad idea in theory. Though, I'm not sure what kind of thing Oni had in mind when choosing prefixes. I would love to hear his response.
Otherwise, my only concern is just, most days at least 50% or more of the latests posts in forum stats are prefixed threads. Sometimes it looks a little much. However, that's very different when you're actually browsing through sections. I'd love to hear more members opinions too.

RE: More thread prefixes #4
We need to also add "SE" so I can cringe harder when the asshole post it on the title about stealing from Amazon...
(But I will upload some SE threads for sure if there is a prefix for it)

And also...
[Review] (like of a product, service or etc)
[SE] Self explanatory
[BEGINER]
[INTERMEDIATE]
[ADVANCED] All three for skill levels so it stands out and welcomes all skill sets.

@Jiggly I wasn't talking about adding a bunch of them, but adding them for specialized things. What @Slacker proposed is probably about the limit to what I would see as reasonable.

RE: More thread prefixes #6
And it's not like they would be used by everyone. Those all damn near only make sense to be used on contribution threads.

It just helps, because a lot of people (like I have done) end up just putting the relevant tag like [Source]. That just looks ugly to me when we have that nice tag layout.

I'm with you there. I actually quite like the idea of beg, intermediate and adv. Will forward this to Oni for his thoughts.

RE: More thread prefixes #9
A diversity of prefixes when used In the proper manner to denote the thread's content, will serve It's purpose well.

In my views, having an Insight of the thread by viewing the prefix, provides a good Indication of what to expect prior to entering.

RE: More thread prefixes #10
This is a great idea. I think it would make the site more organized regarding posts.
