iOS 9.3.2 security flaw. #1
(Not sure if this is a hoax or something, please tell me if so.)

There's currently news about a 0-day exploit called "Broadpwn" which allows hackers to "take control of your device via Wi-FI".
Be sure to update any iPhones/iPads to 9.3.3 as they patched it.

We have the same thing on android, it's not the OS fault, the chips in the BCM43xx family are to blame.
And this thing is actually scary, an atacker could rewrite the firmware of the wifi chip and make it spread to other devices that the phone comes near to.

So, effectively airborne malware... that's absolutely terrifying and sounds like a sci-fi movie that I want to find now.
It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.

Seems like a very sophisticated attack. Quite Impressive actually.

I shall research this later today.

Seems interesting and scary. If they'd write ransomware and spread it this way it could get worldwide. Enough IoT devices and AP's to spread through

Yeah this is def a real exploit. I've heard about it around a few other places. It is pretty scary and interesting that someone can control your device simply by exploiting the WiFi. I don't know of many people who are on this old version of IOS unless you're jailbroken, which will make you even more vulnerable to an attack.

Is it me, or is anything Apple makes an insecure POS? Seems like everytime I turn around there's a nasty exploit for one of their platforms.

Luckily, I already use 9.3.3. However, my jailbreak no longer works for some reason. The Pangu app always crashes whenever I open it now. This first just happened 2 days ago.

That's actually pretty crazy. Imagine how many devices you could infect with this exploit in just a short period of time.
