Who is your favorite artist? #1
Personally, I appreciate Van Gogh's art works. And I've got a great many pictures. Here I post one of them.
How do you feel about it?
And could you  recommend the artist you like? Tell me something about him/her  or post his/her masterpiece. Sarcasm

If you don't know his work then I highly suggest you google him and really learn about art.

Interesting responses. I was once severely told off in my Fine Art undergraduate for having favourites that aren't contemporary.
I still like Gustav Klimt:

He's one of those artist whose work is circulated everywhere on postcards/fancy notebooks etc. He was an Austrian artist in the late 1800s-early 1900s and google describes his involvement in periods/movements as the following: Art Nouveau, Symbolism, Modern art, Vienna Secession, Neoclassicism, Realism, Surrealism, Romanticism

But, my preferences for contemporary artists change as much as my mood in a day.
However, the recent explosion of digital artists has caught my eye and I browse through artworks every day from digital artists.

She is also the designer of these headphones that featured in her artwork. I used to wish they were real... and now they are:

Aside from the contemporary masters (Van Gogh, Da Vinci, Raphael, etc) and web artists I follow (of which I like way too many to name), I'm really fond of my dad's landscapes. He wasn't able to do much painting for the better part of the last decade but he has a studio to work in and a usable amount of time now, so I'm really glad to see him doing something he loves again.

It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.

I don't have a favorite artist in particular, but a genre of art. Surrealism. Particularly the styles of Dali, Ernst, and Tanguy.
