FCC to kill net neutrality #1
After two years of internal conflict, the United States Federal Communications Commission has elected to effectively dismantle net neutrality. The FCC is open to comments about killing Title II until August 18th. This may be the last chance we get at protecting free, open internet access, which is now a basic human right.

You can use this link provided by John Oliver https://www.gofccyourself.com/ and as a preventative measure you can use the EFF's link to contact your local representatives https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2017/04/fc...let-happen

Yup, you heard that right. The internet is a fucking human right per the United Nations as of July 2016. It would be an act against human rights to disrupt connection to the internet. Believe me, if the FCC goes through with this, there will be massive uproars. Hopefully it doesn't but I've got a feeling Anon might try something ballzy if the FCC succeeds in cluster fucking the US.Kind of interested to see what will happen but at the same time I'm dreading it.

FFC reported that they were being DDOS'd after reviewing the data it was revealed to be bots spamming anti-net neutrality comments (I should say comment, as it literally posted the same thing hundreds of times).

Wow, things changing like mad. I wonder how the higher ups, (the real world smart asses that create shit like the Internet) would take to the idea of creating a new Internet, one that cannot be controlled, or at least lead by moral standards. like no CP and red room shit... but access to unfiltered truthful, information.

In this sense, I actually hope this helps to this outcome. I been hoping this for a few years now. I see it as, there is no way out of this box and now with the state of the US national security interests, the games they played so well to align the pieces in position to possess the ability to literally watch everything about anyone, no matter where in the world... let a lone drone them or put them in a black box, secret torture prison... with regard, this makes me not want to be on the Internet... or say anything.

I sent this FCC asshole an email... just about twenty minutes ago with some common sense tips. I said it would be better to be the one to turn around and fuck off the banks and politicians... and go down in history as a legend, rather than the biggest douche alive. and that the people will not have it and shut the entire fucking thing down.

I encourage it, regulate it... and let the military have it, and their spies and trolls can play... victims will be had... they will pay for it. pun intended. I hope they regulate it so hard the whole thing pops and rolls into a technological revolution... rather than simply informational. It is really, the control of information, that is key, or rather, if you are the good guy, ensuring the access to information is established and in fact protected.

Nations that don't even have drinking water... are directly linked to failure states because of no access to information that is correct and true, an established environment for learning... and growing. in fact, this could lead to new renovations, advanced solutions rapidly solving the crash of the energy system...

One thing we need is a system, a program, that is resources based... and used computers to allocate and calculate the worlds resources, the needs of the people, etc... for one example. I know there are already groups doing this, as one person I admire had this idea as well, Jack Fresco... from The Venus Project. Call me a science geek... Math and I never got along well for reason due to difficulties at home at a certain age... i had a lot of problems there after. Anyway, the reasons I admire him is, his attitude to problems. there is always something we CAN do rather than reasons we cant... and that shit really gets under my skin. like john locke in Lost... DONT TELL ME WHAT I CANT DO!

Just one more step into a Cyberpunk Dystopia, I just hope the robot overlords come sooner rather than later.

I highly doubt any higher intelligence would visit a planet run by our current leaders. They might catch our stupid and I do declare stupid to now be a disease as it is spreading like wildfire and in the US it is now a pre-exisiting condition.

I can't find the interview, but Tim Berners-Lee is fucking pissed about this. If anyone, he owns the internet, not the US government, but he agrees that it should belong to everyone.
