Original Proverbs #1
Share your original witty sayings!

Define original?
Quote:new; fresh; inventive; novel; created, undertaken, or presented for the first time
Spoiler:
If I can do a quick Google search of your adage and come up with a result... it's probably not original.

Here's mine:
Quote:Motivation drags you across the street, but discipline carries you around the world.

Hopefully more to come if I can think of some.    Smile

Mine's pretty simple:

Don't expect anything, and you won't be disappointed.

Mine is "you reap what you sow" I apply this in everything I do. I means how ever much work you put in you get the exact same back. This is usually true in most things you do.

Mine is the one that is also on my website.

"In theory, if a monkey would typ in random characters for an undefined time, the monkey would (after x time) exactly type out the whole shakespear script word after word."

Which pretty much means that nothing is impossible, if there's just enough time and effort put into something.

I use a similar saying to this being "what you put out, you get back In".

I haven't heard of yours though. But I like It.

I'm very surprised you've never heard of the phrase "You reap what you sow."
It's from the Bible.
Spoiler: Galatians 6:7
Quote:Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?se...atians+6:7
Spoiler: 2 Corinthians 9:6
Quote:Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.

Yes, that is true, "In theory."

It'd just take an amazing, mind-boggling, earth-shaking amount of time. Smile

I see what you mean, but I don't agree a 100%. It's very possbile that it would occur even after a few hours. Chances are immense small, but the chance is there.
