For one, Katie Hopkins is amazing. For another, fat acceptance is dumb as hell.

Now, I'm not one to claim that LGBT individuals have mental disabilities (furries and otherkin and whatever the fuck is another story), but that's precisely what fat acceptance is. I mean, they fucking scream at doctors who tell them that high cholesterol and eating yourself to the point of getting diabetes is unhealthy. I just don't understand it.
It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.

my 2c, and nothing more:

I'm not going to "hate" someone because they're heavy/overweight/fat/whatever. That's just as stupid as hating someone because they're black/white/mexican/etc/etc.

There are thin people who are unhealthy as all hell. I had a friend that weighed 150lb soaking wet, was thin, and was also one of those mtn dew guzzling, garbage food eating, nutrient deficient people that the stereotypical "fat" person is.

It's also entirely possible to be fat, and also be healthy. Look to the sumo wrestlers of Japan for an example.

As always, judging a person by their physical traits alone, and not their character is silly. Grouping people together based on physical traits alone, and not on individual merit, is also silly.

We all have our own demons, we all have our own deficiencies. Some manifest in more visible ways than others. Some are more "socially acceptable" than others. Judge the individual, not the group.

Ethnicity is an unchangeable and involuntary attribute of a person. Being fat and/or staying to be fat is a decision and can be changed by the person at any point in time. People who choose to be fat are usually lazy, gluttonous, and have a lack of respect for themselves and their body. Not saying I hate all fat people, but to say that it's stupid to hate someone for doing something they choose to do is nonsensical.

Nobody is saying that only fat people are unhealthy, don't see why this statement would invalidate the fact that being fat or obese is extremely unhealthy. It's like you're trying to justify being fat by saying "well skinny people can be unhealthy too!"

Not sure why you think that just because they're required to be fat for their sport doesn't mean it's unhealthy. You're actually completely wrong. Sumo wrestlers typically have a life expectancy of around 60 to 65 years, more than 10 years less than the average Japanese male. Many develop diabetes or high blood pressure, and they are prone to heart attacks due to the enormous amount of body mass and fat that they accumulate. No matter what your occupation is or what you do in your daily life, if you are fat or obese, you are unhealthy.

Nobody is denying this. The point of this thread is to ridicule a movement which is promoting unhealthiness through the acceptance of obesity and being overweight. Just because someone should be judged based on their character and not their physical appearance doesn't mean we shouldn't shame fat people for choosing to be as unhealthy, gluttonous, and slothful as they are. To indoctrinate the acceptance of being fat is to indoctrinate the encouragement of being unhealthy, which is bad, obviously.

Unless one is physically being chained to a wall which they can't escape from, the only thing keeping a fat person from exercising and changing their diet is their state of mind and literally nothing else. There's no justification for choosing to be fat unless you're satisfied with being unhealthy and dying earlier than everyone around you.

TL;DR - Being fat is bad, and people who choose to be fat should feel bad. Your attempt at justifying being fat has earned a 1/10 for effort.
