Notepad++ is my favourite editor.
But for programming I use IDE.

I don't use my computer as often. When I code or edit files, I use nano in my terminal. Back in the day I used N++. On my phone I use QuickEdit.

I have a roommate who swears by something like QuickEdit for editing on the phone.

Personally, I don't know how you all do it, I just end up missing my mechanical keyboard and don't get anything done Tongue

I have gone through many editors, but the one I am currently on is VSCode. The features I like are:
  • Clean configuration (much like Sublime)
  • No "projects", you just open a folder
  • Built-in Git support (with the GUI and everything)
  • Useful, stable, maintained extensions (I use the Go extension and the x86 ASM extension)

I usually use the "Solarized Light" theme in my editors.

Some other editors I have used in the past: SublimeText 2, SublimeText 3, and Atom. I stopped using Sublime because it seems like development on the editor has gotten a bit stale, and plugins aren't really actively maintained for the it anymore (at least for things I use). I stopped using Atom because I liked like the look and feel of VSCode more.

I sometimes use IntelliJ for Java, but this is usually dependent on my client. Most clients will request I use a certain IDE for their project so they can easily open it on their end. So IntelliJ, Eclipse, NetBeans, I use them all.

I switch between Brackets and Atom.io every couple of months, I enough them both but Brackets seems to have a larger community

I mainly use Sublime Text, as I like how easy it is to use, and it has awesome features!
