New Year's resolutions #1
Yeah, it's that time of year again. What do you guys have set out for your resolutions?

I usually set two goals: one that I know I can achieve, and a more long-term one that I aim for but might not complete.
My realistic, achievable goal is to get my caffeine addiction under control.
My long-term one is to stop falling for people so easily, since all that's done since middle school is burn me and make me depressed and unproductive when it doesn't work out. I might just stop dating altogether until I go to uni and save myself the grief.
It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.

My goodness, that's precisely one of my resolutions.

I love my coffee (I'm about to make a Latte triple-shot), and really need to cut down.
I doubt I'll do It, but I'll play It by ear see what happens.

Mine would to get a continuous gym routine going.

I've been rather slack over these holidays.

Love is a funny thing, but I'm telling you not to make that resolution. It has nothing to do with dating, really. It's all about psychology and a lot of it has to do with instant gratification.

Even in university, I have found relationships to ALMOST work. Past the honeymoon period, I'm usually rather fucked.

The real test of a relationship comes after the honeymoon period. Oni and I have been close for years, and I'm happier now than when we first started dating. However, love is difficult, you can't force it. Also, when you get older you understand how to make it work. Don't avoid dating, but don't chase it. The most important thing is pure honesty. You won't be happy with another person unless you can be honest with them.

Really insightful post, but the main reason it never works for me is that I have shit luck with the people I date. Most of the time it's qualities and habits you never see superficially and discover after you get to know the person. I know this sounds petty but there have been some real fucked up ones I've had to stop relationships because of.

I worry about my future with women.

I only love them when I'm infatuated with them. Ehhh. This post is incriminating, but maybe I have to learn what REAL love really entails.

I got a few resolutions:
  • Rent an appartement with my GF
  • Learn the basics of most coding languages
  • Spending less on weed
  • Do more sports (I currently do absolutely nothing)

Interesting topic!

My new year's resolutions are to find more time to spend with my family & friends, and to continue eating healthy and working out. I only workout twice a week, so maybe a new year's resolution for me could be to begin working out several times a week! Biggrin
