Hack forums is overly crowded in my opinion.
Every thread you want to click on... You have to sign up.
Too many rules.

All forums are shit in their own way, none live up to my expectations, even my own lol.
Back on topic tho, HF is good for some things but shit for others. If you want to make money then it's good, the marketplace is very active and you can make 100's of sales each month depending on what you have to offer. There are also some knowledgeable members who have helped me with projects and other things I've had difficulty with. As a whole, the community is shitty, too many kids and internet ego maniacs. The same threads cycle several times per month with different authors, no new content has been posted since the first month I joined lol.

It's not all that bad of a forum. It has bad members, and good members along with high quality and low quality posts but that goes for any forum. HackForums is looked at on a wide-scale of it being a terrible forum only because it's much larger than most to all other forums. It has a pretty good marketplace and seems to have a stable environment. Most people there don't have a clue about security/hacking in anyway though and it's more of a general community than anything.
