Everyone who has read Naruto to its completion , I have a question for you all. Which character should have died but in the end never met their end?

Hm, I'd like to say Sasuke because it would be so cool if he died in a battle protecting Konohagakure or fighting Naruto. Also, Kakashi should've died in the fight vs Nagato, a charming character but things are that way.

Had Sasuke died then the story wouldn't make much sense. As the story was about Indra and Asura, Yin and Yang working together in harmony and creating peace. For that Naruto and Sasuke ended up equally strong and determined. About Kakashi, are you referring to when Pain (Nagato) invaded Konoha and destroyed the village? Because if so, then Kakashi did die in that fight, along with Hinata and several other Konoha Shinobi. However they were all revived by Nagato when he preformed Rinne no Tensei on the entire village at the cost of his own life.

They don't have to be cool to die, characters who were should have died in the sense that they cheated death because of plot. Gai being a prime example.

I'm not sure if he's already dead, but orochimaru, I think that's how it's spelt idk I'm on my phone. He always does and comes back, like ffs man just die already

Well both yes and no. He died a total of three teams times on screen. Though one wasn't his personal body that died, only its host. But he was sealed twice. He is still alive though, and probably won't die anytime soon as he is now both a good guy and the parent of Mitsuki, teammember of Sarada Uchiha and Boruto Uzumaki.

But is he the mum or the dad of Mitsuki? I just honestly thought he went on for too long, and didn't have much purpose until his revival and helping Sasuke to talk to the hokages etc etc

No one knows which parent he is, not even Mitsuki who is his son. It really doesn't matter as we know that Mitsuki is artificially created by Orochimaru. But as Orochimaru states and shows, he loves Mitsuki very much despite not being the birth father or mother.
