ISP : Virgin
Modem/Router : Super Hub

I had a Super Hub 1, but it got power level errors and needed to be replaced. So the guy came out and just put the Super Hub 3 in. Since then I've had really odd issues. Torrent traffic has started to be throttled, as well as Steam Downloads but only on Linux machines. Never really getting over 1.5 MB/s, defiantly not consistently, where as on windows I can hit the expected 13 MB/s. Now this can be put down to ISP being shitting and blocking that stuff but this is where it gets interesting; because it does this over my VPN (I have tested it with others as well to be sure its not just my provider). So HTTP downloads are fine, FTP is as well, but steam and bit torrent are slow AF so I connected to my VPN via the command line to see if errors are there and I see this:
Code:
Sat Nov 19 22:32:41 2016 Authenticate/Decrypt packet error: bad packet ID (may be a replay): [ #25865 ] -- see the man page entry for --no-replay and --replay-window for more info or silence this warning with --mute-replay-warnings
I only see this with DLing via steam or bit torrent, nothing else. So it implys, at least to me, that my new Super Hub is decrypting traffic to scan it, and any thing "bad" is modified(?).

All I want to know is if I am being a retard or not and what you think about this if I'm not retarded.

@Panther_ They are. The snoopers charter has been passed. All ISPs are keeping a years worth of history on every single step you take.

We've always been under surveillance to some degree via our ISP, and now that new legislation Is slowly populating, It's more so than ever.

Always be on the assumption that you're being watched, tracked and under some sort of scrutiny.

Hi,

The issue with Linux is that sometimes the network driver in your device isn't fully supported for the L_Kernel, Most devices are developed for Microsoft Environments where the latest packages (drivers) are shipped and deployed to this may not even be the case for you however there have been several documented cases where this has been an actual issue.

Maybe you should give your ISP a call and ask them what the fuck they're doing.

What protocol does your VPN use? PPTP can easily be hijacked. If at all possible get a provider that supports OpenVPN. Even the VPN on my iPhone is ipsec :/

Change VPN use cracked wifi.. simple..) get something that uses DNScurve ECC c25519 or L2TP/IPsec RSA or better IPsec Hybrid RSA
