Second Presidential Debate #1
Did anybody watch it or see the highlights?

This was my first time watching a full, American, Presidential Debate. I was both disappointed and entertained. I'm not a US citizen, so my opinion is merely that of an outsider. I have to say, these debate processes are more like reality TV trash than is appropriate... However, this feature of trashyness makes any semblance of intelligent and substantial contribution more obvious. Hilary's comments were more reflective of her past without portraying how that will shape decisions on current issues, and her comments on the future were very superficial and perhaps too idyllic and she started the petty punches. Now, much of what she said was guided by the fact she needed to respond to what Trump said, but I expected heck of a lot more from somebody with her level of experience. The fact that Trump sounded more well researched and realistic is concerning considering her position in politics.

I would love to hear your views, whether you're an outside like me, or somebody intending on placing their vote very soon!

Just to finish off: This clip had me roaring with laughter - truly hilarious! I shouldn't have enjoyed this moment as much as I did but it was priceless.

Trump's comment In the clip Is simply brilliant. I don't think Hillary could've come back with anything to defend herself.

This Is the reason I don't watch debates and the like:

I do agree that there's constructive comments thrown here and there, but for the most part of a given debate, questions and responses are Inappropriate and fail to comply with relevance. I didn't watch any part of the debate but for those who did, I'm Interested to read their thoughts.

Do you know that Donald Trump has gained tremendous popularity after these debates?

This shows a lot about the average American citizen and their brain cell count.

And you guys are giving me shit when I call someone out for being fucking stupid.

I spoke to somebody in my class about it recently, and they said they felt embarrassed and thinks people from other countries are laughing at America right now... Unfortunately, that's not exactly wrong. Although, laughing or not, nobody can dispute America's role in the world as the superpower.

I am somewhat hoping this doesn't change. As a British person, our culture is often pretty tied into the decisions made in America and there are a lot of similarities in both cultures too. (That didn't stop me from having a minor culture shock when I got the US but still.) I'm not sure how we'd function with a different superpower, such as China or Russia. The world would be a very different place!
