In light of leaks by Edward Snowden which have revealed the kinds of institutionalized acts of surveillance perpetrated by government bodies do you really want to give these people extra power by compiling a dossier of every members previous usernames? Do you know the implications of this?

Just make it show previous usernames within a time period, this way your "Privacy" is somewhat hidden.
