I haven't properly played RuneScape for almost 2 years now. I go on my pure every once in a while to PK (Old School), but that's about it. I get bored of playing RuneScape very quickly now - I feel like I've grown out of it. I began playing RuneScape in 2007, so I did play it for a very, very long time. I do watch livestreams and videos when I have the time because I still enjoy watching them.

After watching the same animations so many times, I'd find it excruciating to play old school more.

I believe the main three things why a lot of people prefer OSRS over RS 3 are the old combat system, more challenging and the nostalgia feel. I much prefer the old combat system to be honest. PvP is extremely active in OSRS too, which I like as I'm a PKer.

You can enable legacy combat in the new one.

I still play the OSRS sometimes. Not a lot though, I simply don't have the time to keep leveling.
