I have no idea if it counts because it's a movie and not a standard show, but the 1995 Ghost in the Shell movie was my first real anime thing that I ever watched. It's also still one of my favorites, I like me some sci-fi stuff - I'm not big on the whole big robots thing (Sorry Gundam fans, I just can't get into that apart from the guns because I like guns) but I really like cyborgs and augmentations and stuff like that. I liked the plot, I liked the animation, I liked the characters, so yeah, big fan of it.

If that doesn't count, then I don't know as I really don't remember many shows that I watch.

Pokemon was the first ever anime I watched, but I never really knew there was an 'anime world' out there. (I mean I was 6 or something)

I remember seeing Pokemon etc as a kid but I grew out of shows like that. It wasn't until a friend made me watch Bleach that I took an interest.

I gave up the anime but I am still actively reading the manga. Bleach introduced me to both anime and manga xD
