Someone destroy my opinions #1
Every debate I've gotten into, the opposing party has either cowered or lacked the wit to equally (or greater) oppose me. I can't tell if it's because it's possible that my opinions can easily be supported because they're the "correct" opinion or it's because my opponents have sucked. I'm begging for the taste of defeat, hopefully someone here can serve it to me.

My opinion/views regarding religion (strong, this is your worst bet for putting me down)
Spoiler:
On the scale of 0-10 of being an (a)theist where 0 is theist and 10 is complete atheist, I am a 10. I am positive no god exists, and I think that if religion were magically abolished throughout the entire world in its current state, the world would be a much better place. Evolution is a fact, creationism is absolute non-sense.

My opinion/views regarding politics (in the midst of decent and strong, this is your best bet for putting me down)
Spoiler:
I'm right winged, on the scale of 0 to 10 where 0 is against authoritarianism and 10 is absolute authoritarian, I'm probably a 6 or 7. If I had to choose between Trump and Hillary, I'd vote for Trump without second thought. It's not that I like Trump, I just think Hillary is terrible. Also I dislike Bernie and the people who support him (for the most part). I'll elaborate on this more if anyone decided to debate me in it.

My opinion/views regarding societal "issues" (strong, this is also probably a bad bet for putting me down)
Spoiler:
3rd wave western feminism and the BLM movement are tied for the dumbest and most irrational movements in all of history. Rape culture doesn't exist in the US, neither does the heavily stressed "wage-gap". BLM is an excuse for niggers (in my opinion, all niggers are black people, but not all black people are niggers) to be destructive and act on their own (basically, they're anarchists using BLM as a mask). Also, white privilege nor male privilege exist in the US.

Come at me.

RE: Someone destroy my opinions #2
I'm in agreement on all three issues, especially #2, and #3. Bernie fans are severely misinformed and do not understand basic economics, and BLM isn't the 60s Civil Rights Movement, it's an excuse to riot. With the religion issue, I agree for the most part, but I do see its value. People don't want to accept that life ends at death, it's a lot easier to believe in a higher power, than it is to accept what on the surface is a pretty simple concept. There's a reason its been around since the beginning, and its the same reason it will be around for a long time. With that said, any attempt to force religion down one's throats via politics, such as Muslims pushing Sharia law, I am in disagreement with. Your opponents on these topics usually will suck at arguing, but it makes it harder for them because they will be arguing from an emotional stance where as all the positions listed come from a logic.

Also, just curious, what are your opinions on the libertarian platform? Not so much the electability of the candidates, but their stances on the issues.

I see where you're coming from regarding religion, I've heard that many many times. I agree that the case is mostly people refusing to accept the fact that their consciousness won't exist after death, but as my usertitle states, I'm a brutally honest person, and only care about the truth, which is why I argue for it. As someone who has read countless psychology books, I understand that it's natural for people to cling to a sort of "messianic" figure and a universal ruler. However, natural nor majority are synonyms for correct. Fortunately, according to the PEW research center, atheism has been growing more and more within the 21st century, which means holding a logical standpoint regarding these issues is growing.

Disagree with 1. Religion can be the basis for morals just as much as it can create wars. Nothing wrong with having it, as it's a social construct and almost all previous civilizations had them. If I want to worship crabs, why should I be stopped?

Mostly agree with you on 2, although I'm less authoritarian and more libertarian (coincidentally hate Sanders supporters, as half my professors were). Had to pretend to be a dirty socialist in a couple essays.

Heavily agree with you on 3. Some people are taking the movements a bit too far, to be honest. Highlighting the differences in races is how you create more racism. Victim culture is actually becoming a thing now, and it's quite sad.

1. I'm an atheist but I believe strongly in letting people believe what they want so long as they aren't an asshole about it. If religion helps someone with a drug addiction or something, then that's great and I'll not say anything to them about their belief as long as they aren't spouting nonsense about how gays are going to hell or whatever.

2. I agree that Trump > Shillary but I am a Bernie fan. He just tends to believe more in climate change than the other candidates, and that's the most important problem to me.

3. I don't have much of an opinion on this really. I live in a small town so I've not encountered a lot of feminazis or BLM members. From what I've seen about them though, I'd say I agree with you for the most part.

What is your stance on Climate change?

How the fuck is climate change that big of an issue to you... there has been so much poor behavior in the climate change believers in the scientific community, and there is not nearly enough consensus by scientists to make political decisions about it. If you bring up the 99% of scientists believe in global warming I might actually rip my hair out.

Can you post a source for the poor behavior? It's not that I don't believe you, it's just that I've not heard about it.

It's a big issue to me because it has the potential to end life. If it ends up being a hoax (I don't think it is), then what do we lose anyway by switching to cleaner energy sources? A lot of jobs will be lost in the coal sector, but I like the idea of a slow transition while training them for the new jobs.

Quote:Religion can be the basis for morals just as much as it can create wars.

I never said religion can't be the basis for morals. However, don't go and cherry pick moral lessons from your religion and say "ah yes, this is what I believe in. Religion is such a great basis for morals." If you're going to stress that religion can be a basis for morals, you better damn well take in all of the "moral" lessons from the religion you're a follower of instead of pretending to be a follower and only believing in the parts that appeal to you. Since you're the one making that point, allow me to use your own religion against you. Yes, Christianity contains great moral lessons, however the amount of immoral lessons that Christians strongly try to ignore completely towers the morally-upright lessons. I will gladly elaborate on this if you'd like to discuss the matter further. Also, you making that argument to combat mine is implying that atheists can't have morals just because they're not theistic.. which is just silly.

Quote:Nothing wrong with having it, as it's a social construct and almost all previous civilizations had them.

As stated in a previous post, majority is not a synonym for correct. That is an Ad Populum logical fallacy, and it would be nice if you could avoid those, for your own sake.

Nothing wrong with having it, huh? It's as if you've never heard of the Dark Ages (mainly caused by the catholic church), the Crusades (overused argument, but it's valid), or don't know what's happening in the world today. European countries are being turned into shitholes due to Muslim immigrants imposing their views (Shariah Law and radicalism) upon the societies that are bringing them in.

Quote:If I want to worship crabs, why should I be stopped?

Because there's no logic in worshipping crabs. But hey, at least you'd be worshipping something that actually exists.

I'm not against people believing what they want to believe, I'm against people lying to themselves and ignoring the truth that is staring them in the face. I simply like to dispel that ignorance.

As for climate change, although I don't care about what politicians think of it, I'm not going to say I "believe" in it as if it requires some sort of faith. Climate change is real, does happen, and statistically speaking, is caused by humans and industrialization.

I'm on a phone, so I'll probably keep my responses short.
1. You shouldn't be stopped from worshipping crabs, but you should be informed that your beliefs are pathetic because they have no basis in reality. I agree that religion can be a basis for morals but just like we make our own morals as atheists, the scribes of religion made their own morals, their morals aren't any more solid than mine just because large groups of people agree to them and refer to it as 'divine revelation'.
2. I am Libertarian on some issues and Authoritarian on others. The guy you were talking to meant to say he was 60% out of 100% authoritarian, I'm personally 50% out of 100% according to my political compass test (just google it to see how libertarian/authoritarian you are.) Everyone has some tendencies on both sides.

2. Being a Bernie fan is absolutely ridiculous, even on climate change grounds. Bernie is a socialist which indicates his open alliance with a suicidal economic system that can only exist when a government censors it's civilians to prevent debate or if the civilians are too ignorant to look at modern socialists countries which have seen major economic decline, as well as historical socialist countries which either still exist as horror shows today or collapsed. Socialism is not just illogical, it is immoral. It is immoral to economically starve your population and decimate your country.
Now that I've got that out of the way lets talk about climate change. I acknowledge its existence, however I see many issues with the Green Movement. ---They think that cars, nuclear plants, and planes have any affect on the climate - they do not. The only perpetrator of climate change is coal based power plants, mainly in China and the US. Consequently we have two choices, either we can accept option A: sea levels will rise ,many species will go extinct in artic areas, and people will have to move a little bit inland and sell their beach front property at discount prices, or we implement option B: End Coal Power completely thus shutting down the heating systems of hundreds of millions of poor Chinese who will then freeze to death, loose power to most of the US, because we'll need more power, end the entire electrical era for most of the world until we invent efficient green technology, and hope that we haven't already done irreversible damage to the atmosphere which will already rise sea levels no matter what.
Which sounds better to you? I say let the industrial world go on. The death of the polar bear is not as important as the health of humans, o ya and hospitals need electricity, would kind of suck to be in an accoma during a green revolution without electricity.

RE: Someone destroy my opinions #10
1. I prefer to keep an open mind about religion, but most people I met and have come across believe in religion or a higher power to help with life itself, it makes them also feel that they being watched over and also if death is to come their way that there is another place, a better place. I once met a guy who was an Atheist and he made fun and mocked religious people for what they believe in which was just wrong. However I don't believe religion should to be forced upon by anyone especially what happened in the days of the crusades "We fight for God" I'm sure if God had a voice he would punish all those fuckers because they killing and taking a life. On the topic of religion I love the verse "Though I walk through the valley of shadow and death I will fear no evil" that just gives me courage to do anything, lol

2. From the outside world Hillary is dangerous, Trump is crazy and doesn't think about what he says, Bernie is old but he kind of plays the Robin Hood type of role. This is what is looks like from the outside and how the media portrays them unfortunately.

3. A skin deforming plague should hit the world and turn all our skin colours to purple so we can't see each other by skin colour and people can stop using race and the misfortunes of their past. Shit would be so much better without the race factor.
