I enjoy my Wii. Just hack it and you can get all the games for free or use it as a media player or netflix or web server or any number of things really. You could practically reprogram it like a rasberry pi Biggrin

I like to exercise.
But I think that the reason that the Wii didn't get popular is because of the whole different part of a controller in each hand. As console gamers we like to have our hands close together to play. The only games that I liked on the Wii were Mario and Brawl.
Also, when they upgraded the white Wii to the black Wii they got rid of the Gamecube controller slots. Shitty as hell.

I agree with this, except that I happened to like Dragon Quest: Swords on it as well. ^_^

I think this is the main reason. But also when people think of the wii they think of kidd-ish games so they don't attract hardcore gamers.

That's why the Wii U won't suck as bad... They learned from that mistake and they're brining out better games, for example; The zombie game and other FPS games

I used to have a WII but it just felt horrible, I mean I was looking at WII gameplay of MW3 gold guns and it's just horrible and I couldn't play on it.

The Wii didn't catch on because of the advertising model they worked with, but also because of the problems the console had upon release. A lot of games didn't really execute the motion sensor aspect very well, and by the time they started too, the console didn't have a large enough audience to make a huge different. I think the Wii U will bring it back up a lot, but I don't think it's the same direction as before. The Kinect is going to outclass them soon, in my opinion.
